  1. Maybe Dexter was her inspiration, hopefully her parents got her away from it before season 3 started. This also sounds suspiciously like what Captain Price and Soap would do.

  2. This was creepy. You can´t be serious a kid under 10 wrote this, either he or she has a strange sense of humour or the good news can be that you have a psychopath in your hands but since he or she is a midget you can either lock that person up right now without much hassle or have a slim chance of correcting their ways. Either ways just watch your back, or better watch their hands in case they have some sharp object in them.

    1. This one is a little older, middle school I believe – but it’s still pretty disturbing, has to be said! It seems like it is all just a joke, I don’t know if that helps as it means they have a pretty dark sense of humor…hmmm…I need a professional psychologist to come in and assess this kid, it’s the only way we will know for sure!

  3. Thank you for liking “America’s Ancient Past: Part 1.” It is sad and kind of scary that a young child would write something like this. What is even scarier is when children go one step further and actually try to kill someone.

Your post reminds me of a story I heard a few weeks or months ago about two girls stabbing a classmate 19 times because of their obsession with Slender Man. Slender Man started out as a character someone created for some online contest, but people started developing stories and art around him until he became an urban legend on the Internet. He is a really long, thin figure with a ghostly face who lives in the woods and preys on children. A CBC News story I read (“Slender Man stabbings: Who Is Slender Man?”) outlines the girls’ reasons for stabbing their classmate, who managed to escape and survive the attack:

According to the criminal complaint, the Wisconsin girls planned to run away to Slender Man’s forest mansion after the slaying. One girl told police they decided to kill their friend so they could become proxies of Slender Man, who would accept them and let them live with him in his mansion in the Nicolet National Forest.

Kids being influenced by something they see or read is nothing new, but it seems like there are a lot of negative influences out there these days. 😦
