Yep. Sometimes our perceptions say more about ourselves than the person who actually said it.
Although other times kids do say inappropriate things that they’ve heard adults say. So I don’t blame you either.

Yeah my little cousin used to say things looked “sexy”…at age four, so with that in mind I knew it wasn’t outside the realm of possibility!
